The revival of Dallas Dhu Distillery represents one of the most exciting heritage projects in Speyside. Once silent for decades, Dallas Dhu is being brought back to life by Aceo, whose investment and vision are returning this remarkable site to its rightful place at the heart of the community. Every brick, beam and still is being carefully restored — not just to preserve the past, but to create a truly special future for the Whisky World and Local Community.

As part of this revival, Dallas Dhu Distillery will once again be a working distillery, producing single malt whisky using traditional methods, while also embracing innovation through education, craftsmanship and local partnerships.

A COMMITMENT TO MORAY

Aceo’s vision for Dallas Dhu Distillery extends far beyond the distillery gates. We’re dedicated to making Dallas Dhu Distillery a valued community asset, a place that’s open, welcoming and alive with local activity.

The future Dallas Dhu Distillery will host a range of events for the local community, from festivals, markets and music gigs to ceilidhs, weddings and private celebrations. It will also provide daytime spaces for coffee mornings, local clubs, art exhibitions, family activities and much more.

We’ve already begun building strong links with local organisations, including film clubs, historical groups, woodland and wildlife conservation groups, local schools, farmers and much more.

Dallas Dhu Distillery will be a place that’s as much for the people of Forres as it is for visitors from around the world.

Aceo is proud to work alongside Historic Environment Scotland to conserve and enhance the Dallas Dhu site. Together, we share a vision for a living, breathing heritage distillery — one that respects its past while creating opportunity and prosperity for the future.

This revival is not a short-term project. Whisky takes time, and so does craftsmanship. That’s why our commitment is long-term — with plans and partnerships built to support the next 25 years and beyond.
